I consider myself blessed to be born in Sylhet: The natural areas in our Sylhet are the best for those of us who love nature. There are some places here that we will not get bored of visiting again and again. I will mention a few places below where I myself am visiting. Along with its natural beauty, Sylhet also has spiritual and cultural significance. For those who want to find some peace amidst nature, Sylhet can be an ideal travel destination.
Ratargul : I have heard from many people that there is a very beautiful place called Ratargul in Sylhet. And sometimes I see posts on Facebook where many people have gone and taken very beautiful photos. When I took my friend to the road, the road was busy. Later, when we reached there, there was a lot of traffic. Later, there was a boat on one side of Ratargul. When we traveled by boat, it felt like we had come to a place where we could enjoy ourselves. And the boatman sometimes sings songs and when we entered the jungle, there was silence and the birds which made the mind cool. During the rainy season, when the entire forest is submerged in water, it feels like we have entered a fairy tale world. The chirping of birds, the cool breeze, and the calm atmosphere of the water fascinate tourists.
The shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA): When we were young, we knew that there are sixty-three saints in this land of Sylhet, one of them is Hazrat Shahjalal (RA). And when I came to Sylhet Sadar for my studies, I was traveling for the first time in 2022, I saw many places on foot, but we girls cannot visit the graves. Then I saw many new things, there are many different places here in Sikhla. Every day, countless people from home and abroad come here to pay their respects. The peaceful atmosphere of the shrine grounds brings peace to people’s minds.
Srimangal Travel: Srimangal is a very beautiful place where there is a lot to do. Especially the tea gardens from one side, no other side is such a big place. When we went to Srimangal, we left home at 7 in the morning and reached there at 12 noon. When I entered the tea garden, I felt very happy. I don’t go anywhere alone, I go with friends. This place looks very beautiful from a distance because the sky is visible between the green tea leaves. There is a place like a river next to it where everyone can take photos, enjoy and eat everything. The tea trees lining the hillsides add to the charm of the landscape. Walking through the tea gardens in the early morning, the cool breeze and the chirping of birds soothe the mind.
Lawachara National Park: Lawachara is another beautiful place where the most environment is nature lovers. For those who love nature like me, this place is Lawachara. When we all entered it, everyone was scared because, now most of the animals and few people live there, and among them there is a group called the tribe. The most sacred thing is that we walked a lot to see them and found many monkeys while going. However, we finally saw them but our house does not understand much. The silence and sounds of nature around you during a forest walk create a different feeling. Lawachara is a wonderful place for trekking and adventure lovers.
Presentation: All in all, there are many beautiful places in Bangladesh. And in Sylhet, most of the places are rivers, canals, ponds and the environment is natural.
